Billboard per festeggiare il suo 55° anniversario pubblica diverse classifiche al quanto assurde e insensate e una di queste è la top 100 degli artisti che hanno avuto maggior successo negli stati uniti, classifica calcolata in base agli stream, alle vendite, alle visualizzazioni dei video, ai record, alle classifiche, alla permanenza con album e singoli in classifica, alle numero 1°, alle top10 collezionate etc... e troviamo al primo posto i Beatles e al secondo Madonna ed i Beatles essendo un gruppo Madonna è quindi l'artista solista numero uno seguita da Elton John, Elvis Presley, Mariah Carey, Steven Wonder, Janet Jackson, Micheal Jackson, Witney Houston e i Rolling Stones che chiudono la top 10 ed è stranamente assente dalla classifica la più grande icona Statunitense dell'inizio del nuovo millennio ovvero Britney Spears
